Gym Manager / Trainer
The manager of Strength Nation, Nicole keeps everything running smoothly in the background. Her main priority is keeping communication between members and staff flowing and constantly improving the service that is provided.
Nicole started a hairdressing apprenticeship at 16 and stayed in that career for around 7 years. At 18 she had major spinal fusion surgery to correct scoliosis which would lead her to later enter the world of Personal Training. After running a few salons and completing her PT qualification, she joined the boys at Strength Nation in 2017. Naturally a bit of an organiser, she worked her way to managing the gym in 2018.
What drives Nicole’s motivation daily?
“It sounds so cliché, but I draw so much energy from guiding a person to reach an outcome they never thought possible. Whether it be reducing pain and the need for medication by exercising or learning the correct technique to perform an exercise they never thought possible. I thrive off helping people understand that no matter what hand they’ve been dealt, there’s always something to be grateful for - usually the fact that their body and mind are capable of more than they believe.”
Apart from spending free time with her family and nephews, Nicole loves being a bit of a hermit and renovating her home with husband Blane. She also manages their construction business and trains 4-5 times a week.
